Learning to Think, Learning to Learn: What the Science of Thinking and Adult Education Programs, National Institute for Literacy Leader Fellowship Program Reports, Volume IV, Number 1, 1998-99
Provides information for adult educators who teach or tutor reading in GED-level classrooms. This book showcases 18 fact sheets that incorporate learning methods based on cognitive research. It also includes short articles summarizing many of the fact sheets, a selected bibliography, a glossary of technical terms used in the book, and appendices on learning styles and the brain. 04/18/2000

National Center for the Improvement of Tools for Educators (NCITE) Research Synthesis: Reading and Diverse Learners
NCITE staff reviewed reading research on the design of instructional materials for diverse learners in six general areas - vocabulary acquisition, word recognition, text organization, emergent literacy, phonological awareness, and metacognitive strategies.These technical reports are early draft versions of book chapters that were later published.
